A wonderful budget-friendly hotel in Tokyo with an excellent location

I stayed at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Tokyo Kyobashi and was very satisfied with my experience. The hotel is perfect for those who plan to explore Tokyo all day and return just to sleep. The rooms are indeed very small, there are no balconies, the windows don’t open, and not every room has a view — but this is completely normal for Japan, so you don’t pay much attention to it.

The most important thing for me when choosing a hotel was its perfect location. Ginza is just a 2-minute walk away: trendy stores, global brands, restaurants, and the atmosphere of the true city center. Two metro lines  Ginza Line and Asakusa Line  are also just 2 minutes from the hotel. Tokyo Station is a 7-minute walk, where you can easily catch a Shinkansen to any city in Japan, as well as buses, trains, and other transport to the airport. Nearby, you’ll also find the Imperial Palace, museums, cafés, and restaurants. The transport connections are extremely convenient, especially for travelers who plan to move around a lot — and in Tokyo, it’s impossible not to.

The hotel provides everything a traveler might need  all available for free at the reception:
• comfortable pajamas
• curling iron, iron, and ironing board
• toothpaste, toothbrush, comb
• skincare products — cream, toner, cleanser, sunscreen (single-use sachets)
• bath salts and face masks
• tea, coffee, sugar, matcha packets

I really appreciated the attention to detail — everything is thoughtfully arranged, cozy, and very Japanese-style in its care and accuracy.

I also want to highlight the breakfast: you can choose one of four menu options; everything is tasty and filling. I showed my choice in the photos. Breakfast is from 6:30 to 9:30. A very cute touch: if someone from your room misses breakfast (often due to jet lag), they give you a pack of granola each time.

• the staff speaks English
• there are drink vending machines and a currency exchange machine in the lobby
• laundry is available: 300 yen to wash, 100 yen to dry
• excellent soundproofing — even with the hotel fully booked, it was quiet
• room cleaning is high-quality, linens and towels are changed daily

Overall, the hotel is a great option if you want to stay comfortably in the center of Tokyo. I stayed there with my son, was very pleased, and would happily return again.
